健康落差

與其他有色群體一樣,亞裔美國人在健康結果與指標上,都有相當大的落差。在這個群體中,一些比較普遍出現的健康狀況包括癌症、心血管疾病、糖尿病、B 型肝炎、心理健康、骨質疏鬆症與吸煙。

癌症:

癌症依舊是亞裔美國人排名第一的死亡原因。

心血管疾病:

糖尿病:

大約 20% 的亞裔美國人受到糖尿病的影響,而且估計 32% 的亞裔美國人患有前期糖尿病。

B 型肝炎:

亞裔美國人佔美國總人口的 5%,但是罹患慢性 B 型肝炎的人數佔全美一半以上。據估計,在 12 名亞裔美國人當中,有一人罹患 B 型肝炎。

心理健康:

年齡在 15 到 24 歲的女性中,亞裔美國人在所有種族/族裔群體中的自殺率最高。

骨質疏鬆症:

由於許多危險因素,亞裔美籍女性比較容易患有骨質疏鬆症,這些因素包括體重較低、鈣質攝取不足,以及乳糖不耐症等等。

大約 11 名亞裔美籍成年人中,有一人會抽煙。大約 7 名亞裔美籍男人,有一人會抽煙。
