AAHI is pleased to launch the “WHO ARE SERIES” designed to support community providers in deepening their understanding of the diverse Asian communities they serve, in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month. This initial launch focuses on the five Asian American subgroups most represented in Montgomery County—Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Korean, and Vietnamese.
These brochures bring together key information such as immigration history, demographic trends, health status and disparities, leading causes of death, and barriers to care, to help providers deliver culturally responsive, respectful, and informed services. By strengthening awareness and fostering meaningful connections, we hope this tool empowers providers to better support the health and well-being of Asian community members across Montgomery County.

We plan to launch additional brochures for other Asian subgroups soon.
